Betelberg sledging

Sledging from the mountain into the valley

A fast-paced experience just above the snow: you've put your full weight into the turn and overtaken better than a Formula 1 driver, then splat – a tumble, roars of laughter and a whole heap of fun in the snow.

The three kilometer sled run on Lenk's Betelberg leads away from the ski piste from Leiterli mountain station to Stoss central station. The trail is perfect for children of all ages. Leiterli mountain station hires out traditional wooden sledges as well as aerodynamic racing sleds and ultra-fast airboards. Various mountain lodges invite you to take a little detour on the sun terraces along the way.

Enjoy a fast, fun snow-filled experience from the mountain into the valley on a six km sled run, which runs from Leiterli into Pöschenried at 1'200 m a.s.l. If snow conditions permit, the sled run is open daily. Return transport from Pöschenried to the Betelberg valley station is also arranged. In addition, there is a three-kilometer sledge run from Leiterli to Stoss middle station. The sled runs are prepared daily with the piste machines.

Discover the sledging piste from an entirely new perspective with an airboard. The high-tech sledges are similar to an air bed, but one on which you can lie on your stomach and zoom head first down the mountain on! There's no shortage of action and fun with this winter sport. High-tech equipment ensures less weight and extreme endurance with the airboard, which is controlled by transferring the weight of the body. You can get up to a really high speed with an airboard if you want to. The experience feels as though you're hovering closely above the ground.

The Betelberg gondola lift takes you to the Leiterli mountain station, where you reach the sled piste. Free parking is available at the valley station. By public transport, you can reach the valley station from the station by ski bus, which runs at regular intervals.

Wooden sledges, plastic bobsleighs, racing sleds and airboards can be hired from Leiterli mountain station. Either a sledging day pass or a single trip can be purchased for the gondola.

Sled piste Leiterli – Pöschenried
When the Leiterli-Pöschenried sled piste is open, a sled bus runs from Pöschenried back to the Betelberg gondola valley station from 11.45 to 17.00 hrs.
