Cross-country skiing

60 kilometers of slope across 5 areas

Discover the Simmental on quiet trails. The infinite expanse of the flat valley floor makes the Simmental a genuine cross-country skiing experience. With diverse trails to meet every requirement, nestled in the heart of a pristine mountain landscape, the Simmental is paradise for the appreciative athlete.

On the Lenk valley floor, 18 km of classic and skating trails (including a racing trail) invite you to go cross-country skiing. The Heart Trail, which was launched in collaboration with the Swiss Heart Foundation, is ideal for beginners and the health-conscious. And when the cross-country tracks in the valley start to dry up in spring, this does not mean that the cross-country season is over. On the Haslerberg (accessible by cable car Betelberg) there are 6 km (4.1 km big loop, 1.8 km small loop) of high-altitude cross-country trails to discover at almost 2,000 m above sea level, surrounded by a unique mountain world.

St. Stephan
The picturesque valley slope of Zweisimmen – St. Stephan – Lenk extends 13 km across the Simme. The rush of the river in the background and the crunch of the snow under your skis helps you forget about everyday life.

Surrounded by gentle landscape and with a view reaching far into the distance, the Jaunpass offers a unique experience for cross-country skiers. At 1'500 m a.s.l., two cross-country slopes guide you away from the ski resort through a snow-covered landscape; 16 km classic, 9 km skating. The night slope is lit every Wednesday and Saturday until 10 p.m. If there is enough snow, a slope is also opened in the valley of Boltigen.

Idyllic, family-friendly cross-country skiing region for training and pleasure. 4,5 km classic and skating. In addition, the entire 4.5 km can be used daily and until 10 p.m. as a night slope.

All information regarding prices, lessons and a slopes plan is available in the cross-country skiing brochure mentioned below.

Cross-country skiing materials can be hired from all regional sport shops in Lenk and on the Jaunpass.
