The reservoir lake on the Leiterli can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot from the Leiterli mountain station. In winter, the lake serves as a water supply for the snowmaking system of the Betelberg ski area. In summer, the lake invites you to relax and enjoy. Directly at the lake is the highlight of the Murmeli Trail: the interactive, walk-in Murmeli-Bau - While parents relax by the lake with a beautiful view, the place is perfect for little naturalists to play, learn and discover. The Murmeli adventure then continues on a leisurely hike to the Stoss middle station.

Arrival
From the railway station, the Betelberg valley station is a 10 to 15-minute walk away. Parking spaces for cars are available. From there, take the Betelberg cable car up to the Leiterli.

Combine the visit to the reservoir lake with the Betelberg Murmelitrail.

There are new picnic areas and a barbecue area by the lake.
There is another catering option at the Berghotel Leiterli, note opening times.
