Panorama platform Stockhorn
A breathtaking view if you have a head for heights
Enjoy the stunning view from Lake Thun to Jura. The rock gallery at the mountain station level leads directly to the panoramic viewing platform in the north face of the Stockhorn.
Right next to the Panorama Restaurant, a tunnel leads out to the panoramic viewing platform in the north face of the Stockhorn. From here you can enjoy a magnificent all-round view of Thun, Lake Thun, the Aare and Gürbe valley, the Swiss Plateau across to the Jura and, on clear days, Alsace and the southern Black Forest.
The stunning view can be enjoyed by everyone. The panoramic viewing platform is also easily accessible for wheelchair users, people with walking difficulties and families with pushchairs.
There are also various information boards displayed in the mountain gallery and the chamber by the platform for visitors with a particular interest in geology as well as for families and school children. A large, beautifully unique calcite crystal from the region is also on show for visitors to marvel.
The viewing platform is located 400 metres above the valley floor.
You can enjoy a 240-degree view.
The viewing platform is accessible.
Not recommended for people with a fear of heights.
