The art of paper cutting, with its remarkably detailed images, tells stories about the culture and tradition of the Swiss Alps. Get a sense of this sophisticated technique up close and find out more about the impressive craft.

Paper cutting has attracted an increasing number of fans in the last century. Few people actually know how to create these works of art by working with paper and scissors in this way. In the first part of the course, Elisabeth Beutler will share fascinating facts about traditional Simmental paper cutting and its production. In the second part, you yourself can try your hand at the technique of paper cutting.

Take a souvenir home that you have cut yourself.

The course takes place at Berghaus Iffigenalp.

Price
The course costs CHF 45.– per person including a self-cut souvenir.

Date
Thursday 20 June to 8 August from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 29 August to 10 October, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Other dates are possible on request.

The course requires at least 2 people to be able to go ahead (maximum 4 people).

The minimum age is 12 years.
