Swiss farms invite you to visit the farm
The stable visit invites the population of town and country to experience the diverse agriculture up close and to understand the production of food. The open doors encourage direct contact between consumers and farmers. The farmers themselves are sympathizers and ambassadors of Swiss agriculture.
The stable visit makes the regional origin and seasonal production of food tangible and counteracts the alienation between town and country. A dialogue between consumers and producers is therefore becoming more important: consumers should know where and how our food is produced. During a visit to a stable, you will gain an insight into the interesting, varied and demanding profession of a farmer.
