Stockhorn Half Marathon
Fast altitude to the goal – Stockhorn
Of all the mountain races in the Bernese Oberland, this classic is considered one of the most beautiful – and rightly so. After starting in Oberwil, the course runs high up to the Vorderstocken alp with the Bergpreis and continues across the Oberstocken Alp toward the goal – the Stockhorn summit. The challenge presents an altitude of over 1700 metres.
This run experience, which stretches across 21,1 kilometers, goes from Oberwil via Bunschen-Weissenburgbad-Weissenburgberg-Tanzboden-Schopf up to the Vorderstocken Alp and continues across the Oberstocken Alp onto the Stockhorn summit. The Bergpreis is celebrated on the Vorderstocken Alp. The finish line is on the Stockhorn summit.
Once at the goal, alongside a fantastic view of the mountains, you will also find food. For your convenience, take the gondola from the top to get back to the valley. The descent is included in the entry fee.
