Up off the sofa and head to the Bernese Oberland! The Stockhorn igloo is located on Hinterstockensee, a frozen lake amid white-dusted mountains. It sits 1,600 m a.s.l. and is ideal for walking, skating or snowshoeing. A tasty fondue at the end is a must – e Guete (as the Swiss say)!
During the day, a small selection of hot and cold beverages as well as various snacks and fondue awaits you. Enjoy the ambience on our terrace or have a bite to eat in the igloo restaurant adorned with snow art. The Stockhorn igloo is the perfect place for a spontaneous stop after a snowshoe hike or a winter walk or invites for a snack during ice skating on the frozen Hinterstockensee.
In the midst of the evening mountain and snow world, the Stockhorn igloo has unique fondue offers for you. Experience the Stockhorn igloo under the stars from its most beautiful side. An extra trip takes you to the mountain station. Together with a guide you walk to the Stockhorn igloo (and back), where an igloo tour incl. welcome drink awaits you. Under snow and ice art the Stockhorn igloo serve you a specialty: an all-you-can-eat fondue with regional mountain cheese. All this is also available on full moons with an additional guided snowshoe tour.
