On your Trottis, get set, go! This somewhat different alpine descent on two wheels leads you across a nine kilometre trail, from the mountain station of Leiterli to the valley station of Betelberg. At respectively the beginning of each September, the world-renowned Alpabfahrt in St. Stephan takes place. On this day around 120 cows and heifers, carefully adorned with flowers and ribbons, make their journey back into the valley. Upon reaching the valley, the animals are greeted by spectators from near and far.
Be amazed at the lovingly adorned cows as they proudly wear their bells, cowbells called «Treicheln» and flowered decorations. Zwärgliloch, Schnurenloch and Mamilchloch. These are the names of the three caves, which want to be explored by cavers both big and small. The oldest stone tools in the canton of Berne to be made by human hands were once discovered here. These are exhibited in a history museum in Berne. With plenty of scrambling and ladder climbing, this route is perfect for cavers.
An exclusive cave raclette allows you to combine the extraordinary ambiance of unfamiliar caves on Stockhorn with an almost ordinary raclette feast. Following a short guided hike from the Chrindi to the Cheibenhorn, you will visit the first impressive cave – the «Mordsloch» (murder hole). Afterwards, you will be taken to the «Gemüsekeller» (vegetable cellar). You will then enjoy your raclette.

Thanks to tree sponsorships, ten of the oldest and mightiest silver firs in the entire Bernese Oberland have been protected in the forest «Boltigwald» and preserved against commercial exploitation.
