Snowshoeing

Winter sport in the sweet silence of nature

Put on your snow shoes and discover the snow-covered wintry landscapes and untouched forests. Enjoy the serenity of nature on a backdrop of the white mountains.

Offering several primed snowshoeing routes for any requirements in the midst of an aboriginal mountain landscape, the Simmental is the mother lode for any enthusiastic sportsperson.

Step out of the tedious monotony of routine for a few hours and recharge your batteries. Wade through the silent landscapes on our snowshoeing tour and enjoy the tranquillity and the panoramic views. This is all on offer in a secure area, if you follow the snowshoeing trails signposted at Lenk, the Jaunpass or in Boltigen, on the Rossberg or around the Stockhorn mountain in Erlenbach. These signposted routes are ideal for snowshoers with some snowshoeing experience. For anybody who would rather tread the first footprints into the fresh snow, there are certified hiking leaders on hand.

Mountain Lodges and SAC Cabins offer accommodation for hikes over several days (from the end of February/beginning of March). After a snowshoeing excursion, enjoy the view while indulging in the fine food on the authentic cabin menu.

For your own safety and for the protection of the nature and wildlife, please walk only on the designated routes. Please use the trails provided.
