YAK Trekking

03.09.2026 - 13.09.2026

Schedule
We will meet on Thursday evening for an introduction and instruction at the alpine hut "Balemad" and spend the night in the hayloft. From Friday morning to Sunday noon, we will be traveling with the animals: Balemad - Obere Lochberg - Trüttlisbergpass - Gryde - Stigelberg - Steinstoss - Leiterli - Balemad

Accommodation & Meals
We will sleep in tents at about 2,000 m above sea level for two nights and prepare meals together over the fire or with camp stoves.

Luggage
The animals will carry our luggage, and you only need a daypack for rain gear and lunch.

Equipment
You need to bring your own tents, mats, and sleeping bags. Sturdy hiking boots and mountain hiking experience are essential.

Group Size
We are two to three shepherds, and up to seven guests can join us.

Costs
The trek costs CHF 600 per person (including breakfast and dinner)

About Us
We are Martina and Raphael, and we took over an organic farm in the canton of Lucerne in 2023. Since 2014, we have been yak trekking shepherds and have been traveling with our own animals in the Lenk region for six years.
