On a 3-hour circular hike with breathtaking views, visitors learn interesting facts about yodelling.
At eight stations, topics such as the development of yodelling in Switzerland, various yodelling techniques, the connection to Alpine culture, yodelling in America and current trends are presented with informative texts. Sounds can be downloaded using QR codes on a smartphone or tablet and listened to directly on site or later at home. The content is also available in French and English. The initiator of this unique trail is the nationally renowned yodelling composer and conductor Ueli Moor. The starting point of the hike is the Dürrenwald alpine farm, which is run by Ueli's brother Chrigel and his wife Susi and where you can enjoy a piece of alpine cheese, a small snack or something to drink before or after the hike. There are additional attractions for children, such as a search game, which is solved at the end of the hike with an original surprise at Alp Dürrenwald. At the "AlpKultur" station, you can try your hand at a "trouser toss" in the sawdust or try your hand at lasso throwing at the "America" station. A barrier-free section of the trail to Alp Eggmatte and back is available for all-terrain pushchairs and wheelchairs. The yodelling trail is open during the alpine summer until around the end of October.
