Since 1989, the Lenk Jazz Days have been bringing musical life to the holiday resort at the foot of the Wildstrubel. What once began on a small scale has now become an integral part of the Lenk destination and delights a diverse audience every year.
The festival is constantly evolving. Adapting to the current zeitgeist requires continuous development of the event. Today, the program is younger, more colorful, and stylistically broader—without losing sight of its roots. Exciting live performances take center stage at Kronenplatz and other atmospheric venues in the village. New Orleans and Dixieland jazz are complemented by stylistically related New Orleans and Dixieland jazz are complemented by related sounds from swing, blues, and soul to pop and funk. This deliberate program design bridges the gap between tradition and modernity: it cultivates the loyal regular audience as well as the festival's supporters, while also appealing to new, younger target groups. The evening concerts take place in a stylish atmosphere on the large main stage under the tent canopy on Kronenplatz. The free matinee, aperitif, and street concerts in selected hotels, restaurants, and mountain huts round off the festival experience.
