Celts, goblins, and power places.

From Boltigen, the path leads steeply up the southern valley slope to the foot of Niederhore. The colorful moorland makes us comfortably overcome the altitude meters as if on cotton wool. Via the Alp Bunschlere, we reach the Luegle ridge (1,910 m above sea level). We cross the Gestelen and ascend briefly to the next pass. From there, our gaze wanders over the idyllic Seebergsee, framed by the majestic Seehore with its beautiful Swiss pine forest belt. Seebergsee is considered a power place and attracts for a refreshing swim. The area is steeped in legend, and the story of the devil's step is just one of many. The bizarre rock formations of the Spillgerten on the horizon lead us to Alp Stierenberg.

Highlights:

  • Telling of a legend by a hiking guide with a view of Seebergsee
  • Observation of chamois and ibex in the quiet hours of morning and evening
