On little-known paths towards Stockhorn

From Weissenburg station, we first follow the signposts to Weissenburgberg and turn right at the crossroads P.836. After leaving the forest, we keep slightly left and head on a barely visible trail towards the distinctive tree on the alpine pasture. Passing Lisa's Café, we now follow the signposts in Weissenburgberg towards Flüeberg. The route briefly crosses an alpine meadow, then continues on an alpine road to the crossroads P.1128 near the Stigimaad huts. We turn left and ascend the steep alpine road up to Flüeberg, where at P.1348 a broad ridge is reached and a beautiful view over the Simmental opens for the first time. Following the grassy ridge, we follow the signposts in the direction of Oberi Loohere to the Alp Unders Chäli, where we continue along the faintly developed ridge. The ridge soon disappears into the forest, and occasionally one should look out for trail markings. After leaving the forest, a scree field is soon crossed, and shortly thereafter the unnamed pass height at the rock tower of the Looherehürli is reached.

A short descent follows to the Oberi Loohere alpine hut. Afterwards, the ridge is consistently followed on trail traces up to the summit of the Wildestei (P.1936, unnamed on the national map). Following the signposts towards Vorderstockealp, we first descend over the eastern ridge and further over alpine meadows down to the Vorderstocke alpine huts. From the crossroads P.1784, we follow the level hiking trail towards Chrindi to the crossroads P.1762, and after another short descent, we reach the middle station Chrindi of the Stockhorn cable car via small trail tunnels above the Hinderstockesee.
