This route usually starts from Rossberg due to snow conditions, or in good winters from Heidenweidli near Oberwil. Starting from below, the approximately 300 vertical meters to Rossberg must first be mastered. From here, the route leads along forests and fields in the direction of Stutz and further up to the 1924 m high Puntel. The descent can be made via Rite into the Schönebode and further back on the ascent route down to the Simme.

    Through the Simmental to Oberwil

  • By train to Oberwil in the Simmental: sbb.ch

  • On the main road at Heidenweidli, or on the Rossberg in front of the restaurant parking lot, there is a special parking area for ski tourers.

  • Heidenweidli - Hinderegge - Rossberg - Stutz - Puntel - Dürrenegg - Rossberg - Oberwil

  • For ski routes, the appropriate equipment and the necessary expertise (avalanche knowledge, alpine skills) are mandatory! Those who have no experience in assessing the avalanche situation in open terrain should go on a ski route with a trained mountain guide/snow sports instructor.

  • As with every ski route, an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, and crampons belong to the equipment.
