Behind the inconspicuous door of a supposedly ordinary air-raid shelter hides a small, fine bicycle museum. The bicycles on display allow visitors to dream of times gone by and provide an insight into the world of two-wheelers.
Heku stands for Heinz Kunz - the cycling legend from Boltigen. Until recently, the man from the Oberland took his visitors on a personal tour through the history of the bicycle. But his dream lives on and his collection will not be withheld from the public in the future. His wife puts her heart and soul into looking after the museum. Among other things, there is a balance bike, a penny-farthing, old military, postal and baker's bikes, children's bikes, over 200 brand plates and numerous bicycle bells. Whether for families, groups or bicycle enthusiasts - this unique museum is definitely worth a visit. Why not combine it with a cycle tour through the Simmental?
