A highlight of the Lenk winter is the International Sled Dog Race in February. Dog teams from all over Europe travel to Lenk for the traditional race. The irrepressible howling and barking of the dogs before the start embodies motivation, power and dynamism in their strongest form. Sled dogs love to run as a team and the sled dog handler, the so-called musher, can only hold them back at the start with difficulty. On command, he releases the brakes and the team races past the many spectators into the white winter landscape. For all dog lovers, the race at Lenk is a must-see experience. The sled dog race is framed by a "Dörfli" in the finish area. Delicacies for the big or small appetite as well as warm drinks are offered.
