The Midsummer Festival delights visitors from all over Switzerland with its cosy atmosphere, its unique backdrop and its exciting, very diverse range of performing artists.

If you've been to the Midsummer Festival before, you don't have to pull the rustic bacon out of your mouth to motivate you to visit again. What it's like when the crème de la crème of Swiss music and equally virtuoso foreign acts fill the Simmental with sound on the longest day of the year. There is a magic that spreads when the bacon-fat beats call the Simmen Falls to a thunderous dance and the amazement of the bands as they let their eyes wander over the audience and soak up this incredible backdrop. Young and old alike enjoy two long days and short nights on and off the stage at an unagitated festival of music, with plenty to eat and drink and even more to savour, as the regional culinary offerings make a welcome, tasty change from the typical festival monotony. Actually, there is nothing typical about this festival, but... You have to experience it for yourself to understand it. So come along, you music-loving people, and let your ears, palates and hearts be spoilt.

How to get there
We recommend travelling by public transport, as the number of parking spaces is limited. A bus runs between Lenk railway station, Metschbahn and the festival site during the day. There are a few car parking spaces available at the Metschbahn for a fee.

Shuttle bus
The festival wristband entitles you to a free return journey on the shuttle bus from the Simmen Falls to the village of Lenk.
Departure from the Simmen Falls bus stop: 22.30, 23.30, 00.30, 01.00

Accommodation
In addition to the marvellous landscape with majestic mountains, cool forests and the ice-cold Simme, Lenk offers hotels, guesthouses and camping for every budget. Camping is available at the Hasenweide campsite right next to the festival site. Various Lenk hotels also offer a Midsummer Festival package.

Food & drink
There is a wide range of food and drink for every budget on the festival site and in the Simmenfälle restaurant. It is not permitted to bring your own food and drink onto the festival site. Barbecues can be set up on site at specially equipped barbecue areas.

Children & young people
It is forbidden to bring children under the age of 3 to the festival. Children and young people between the ages of 3 and 15 may attend the festival if accompanied by a legal guardian (parents). Admission is free for children aged 4 - 10 in advance until 31.12.2023. After that it costs CHF 10.-*
