This mountain hike takes you between two linguistically and culturally different regions of Switzerland. Accompanied by wonderful views of the Vaud, Fribourg and Bernese Alps and the foothills of the Alps as well as the incredible panorama of the Valais Alps as far as Mont Blanc, you will hike around the Wildhorn in 4 days.
The Tour du Wildhorn runs along mountain paths at an altitude of between 1,400 and 2,900 m above sea level. The circumnavigation of the Wildhorn offers an incomparable mountain experience for every mountain hiker who is free from giddiness and can walk for up to six hours. The Col des Audannes is a somewhat vertiginous crossing. However, it is secured with ladders and fixed ropes. The crossing of the Karrenfelder requires a certain amount of attention. With your hiking poles strapped to your rucksack and your hands free to scramble, these limestone cliffs offer a fun and interesting way forward. For your safety, or to better enjoy the beauty of the mountains, entrust yourself to a mountain guide or hiking leader.
