On the "Unter Albrist" alp with the family of Magdalena and Matthias Gobeli, there is plenty for young and old to discover during the alpine summer. At around 1,700 m above sea level - at the foot of St. Stephan's local mountain, the Albristhorn - you are guaranteed to experience alpine culture up close.
Watch how an alpine cheese is made, try some of the Britsche and taste a piece of fine alpine cheese. The Gobeli's will serve you a coffee, fresh milk, tea or a glass of syrup and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Children are sure to get their money's worth too. In addition to the cows, goats, chickens, pigs and calves are also kept and can be visited and stroked. The alp is also located in a very beautiful hiking area. An insider tip is a detour of around ½ hour to the Albristseeli. Right next to the huts, by a small stream, there is also the opportunity to barbecue or have a picnic and play.
