From Laubbärgli, the first 100 meters or so zigzag through the forest. You soon reach the edge of the forest and continue on open pastureland for the remaining meters of altitude towards the broad ridge. The last section of the trail leads along the broad ridge to the Schatthore, which offers great views.
In summer, the alps around the Schatthore are farmed. On the way back, it is worth making a detour to Alp Seewle to buy some cheese.
