Murmeli Trail - Clever!
Let's go on an exploration journey into the realm of marmots! This adventurous and playful path leads from the Leiterli mountain station to the Stoss middle station of the Betelberg cable car. Along the way, you discover dwelling caves and escape holes of marmots as well as clever Marmot homes at the walk-in Marmot burrow right at the Leiterli reservoir. Test your dexterity on the wobbly bridge or find out on the Marmot scale how many "marmots" you weigh. The path takes you on a gently sloping natural road to the idyllic Dufti-Seeli, where you will also find a barbecue area. The last few meters to the lake can be covered by cable car – an airy fun. How well do you know animal sounds and tracks? The following stations will definitely help you improve your knowledge. At the end, the path leads to the labyrinth with a barbecue area where you can climb and balance once more. Would you like to meet real marmots? Above the walk-in Marmot burrow the animals live, but beware! They are shy. Therefore, you have the greatest chance of observing marmots early in the morning. At that time it is still nice and quiet on Betelberg and the little rodents dare to come out of their burrows here and there.
