The route starts in St. Stephan and initially follows a leisurely flat bike path towards Stöckli. Past the beautiful church, the ascent begins – one of the most pleasant in the region. With a steady incline, it leads up to the Restaurant Chemistube, which invites you to stop with its hearty cuisine. The sunny terrace offers a wonderful view and is the perfect place for a well-deserved break.

After another 170 meters of elevation, the route turns left – and now it’s time to go downhill! A steep gravel road speeds up the route and quickly leads down to the bridge over the Chesselbach. Shortly after, you reach Rüwlisstrasse – the start of a fast, paved descent back to St. Stephan.

The entire route is easy to ride and ideal for those who prefer wider paths – narrow singletrails are consciously avoided here.

Note: The route is not signposted – a map or GPS track is recommended.
