This circular route provides a good overview of the Obersimmental-Saanenland region. The route starts with a long, fairly steady climb to the Rüwlispass. The last section to the pass is tough, the last approx. 500 m of ascent are very steep! Here, you will be glad for the strong turbo mode! From Rüwlispass to the gravel road leading into the Turbach valley, you must follow the hiking trail for about 200 m over a bumpy natural path and cross a hiking trail gate during the summer grazing months. After the gravel descent, you quickly reach a paved road that gently descends through the entire Turbach valley to Gstaad. In Gstaad, a stroll along the promenade is worthwhile. After crossing Gstaad, the second climb follows via the Grubenstrasse to Schönried and Saanenmöser. Back to the Simmental you reach via a lightly trafficked side road along the Oesch side. From Zweisimmen, the bike path leads flat across the valley floor back to the starting point.
