This circular tour provides a good overview of the Obersimmental-Saanenland region. The tour starts with a long, fairly even ascent to the Rüwlis Pass. The last stretch up to the pass is a tough one, the last 500m or so of ascent are very steep! You'll be glad of the powerful turbo mode here! From the Rüwlispass to the gravel road that leads into the Turbachtal valley, you have to follow the hiking trail for about 200m over a bumpy natural path and cross a hiking trail gate during the summer months. After the gravel descent, you are soon back on a paved road that leads gently downhill through the entire Turbach Valley to Gstaad. In Gstaad, it is worth taking a stroll along the promenade. After passing through Gstaad, the second ascent follows via Grubenstrasse to Schönried and Saanenmöser. You return to the Simmental via a little-used side road along the Oesch side. From Zweisimmen, the cycle path leads flat across the valley floor to the starting point.
