The route starts at the top of the Leiterli lift with the first descent. How could it start better? The first turns through the Tschätte lead away from the ski area into the calm of nature. On the ascent to the Tube, only about 300 m of elevation are to be mastered. From the Tube, the view of the Lenk and Lauenen mountains is diverse. The Wildstrubel massif is no less impressive from a distance; on the other hand, the Louwenehore in the northwest seems within reach. The descent through the Lochberg can only be done in a safe avalanche situation because the steep slopes above the route often slide. The slopes to be ridden are rather flat and not ski-technically demanding. Over the Aegerten, the Wallbach bridge is reached, from where the Wallegg valley station and the village center are not far.

Classification according to SAC difficulty scale for ski tours: L+

  • Approach

    By car to the Betelberg gondola valley station.

  • Take the train to Lenk. Timetable: SBB. Continue on foot or by bus to the Betelberg valley station. Take the Betelberg gondola up to Leiterli.

  • Free parking spaces are available at the Betelberg valley station.

  • Betelberg, Leiterli top station - Lägermedi - Tube - Lochberg - Aegerten - Wallbach - village Lenk

  • For ski routes, the appropriate equipment and necessary expertise (avalanche knowledge, alpine skills) are mandatory! Those without experience in assessing avalanche conditions in open terrain should better go ski touring with a trained mountain guide/snow sports instructor.

  • As with every ski route, an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, and crampons are part of the equipment.
