A hiking paradise for everyone: Lenk, where this circular hike starts, lies at the top of the Simmental valley. It leads right through the lively mountain village, past the idyllic Lenkerseeli lake, the Alpkultur playground and through a quiet section of forest. You are always accompanied by a breathtaking mountain panorama along the way.

The route starts at Lenk im Simmental railroad station with a short "sightseeing tour" through the lively little village - past inviting restaurants, café bars and various stores. Not far from the village is the Lenkerseeli (Rohresee) in the nature reserve of the same name. Ducks and other native birds can be observed here. The mountain scenery with views of the 3,244-metre-high Wildstrubel is also impressive.

Of course, a visit to the alpine culture playground right next to the lake is a must. The alp is literally brought into the valley here: with an alpine hut, play equipment made from natural materials, fire pits and the Strubeli train, the 7,000 square meter area has plenty to offer. If you are hungry and thirsty, stop off at the Lenkerseeli kiosk.

The trail leads past romantic resting places over the Iffigbach stream and on through a quiet wooded area. The subsequent crossing of the wooden bridge over the 55-kilometre-long Simme is the turning point of the route. Straight ahead along the river, the sound of which accompanies you along the way, the village center of Lenk is soon in sight. You can stop off again at the KUSPO (course and sports center) or in the village before the route ends at the train station.

    Barrier-free arrival / public transport: The train from Zweisimmen to Lenk is not independently accessible. For assistance, please contact the driver or attendant directly and they will help you get on and off the train with a mobile folding ramp.

  • Wheelchair-accessible parking spaces: There are various parking facilities at Lenk railroad station. However, there are no parking spaces specially marked for wheelchair users. Other parking spaces are available on the market square (blue zone) and Brüggmatte (free use).

    Information for blind and visually impaired people: Blind and visually impaired people can walk the obstacle-free paths thanks to voice guidance.
