The start of this ski route is Iffigenalp. Slightly ascending, it goes into the Groppi. The Iffig valley, with Hohberg on the right and the steep flanks of Mittaghorn on the left, is spectacular at any time of year. From Groppi it gets steeper until the frozen Iffigsee is reached. From the lake it is still about 300 meters in altitude to the Iffighorn, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. To the south, Schnidehorn and Wildhorn, to the north Betelberg and Spillgerten. What is the best part of every ski route? Of course, the well-deserved descent! After eating your provisions and drinking the summit wine, you enjoy the descent over the long ridge of Hohberg before turning left towards Pöris. Now the terrain becomes increasingly forested. The descent ends after about 1100 meters in altitude at the former restaurant Alpenrösli.

  • With little snow in the lower areas, it is also possible to ski down only to the Hubelmatte.
