The loop starts from the Rellerli parking on an asphalt mountain road heading towards "Grossi Vorschess." The path then continues on a winding and rather steep gravel road up to the "Plani" mountain, followed by a loop around the "Planihubel" and then left further on the scenic Rellerli mountain.

The technically demanding descent starts at the former mountain station and follows the hiking trail to a mountain hut. The path passes the hut on the right, continues to a gravel road, then turns right and at the next mountain hut turns left and shortly after sharply right onto the hiking trail. The route follows the winding and scenic single trail down into the valley.
