From Zweisimmen to Spiez, follow the red cycle route signs for Lake Route 9 in the direction of Spiez. This route leads through the lovely Simmental valley to Lake Thun. The ride through the Simmental valley takes you past numerous Simmental houses through quaint villages and beautiful meadows. Although the tour is 600 meters downhill, there are a few small climbs to contend with. In Spiez, the reward is a dip in the cool waters of Lake Thun. You can review the tour in comfort on the train back to Zweisimmen.

No technical challenges are to be expected on this tour.

  • Public Transport

    Some railroad stations in the Simmental are close to the cycle path.

  • There are several barbecue areas along the way.

    The train line with several stops runs alongside the cycle path, so to speak. This means you can change from your bike to the train. It is easy to transport bikes on the train.

    The cycle path can of course be used in both directions.
