Via Alpina - Stage 15 Adelboden - Lenk

The Via Alpina, which winds its way through the Swiss picture-book scenery, also passes by the Vogellisi Mountain. On the stage from Adelboden to Lenk, hikers cross the Hahnenmoos Pass.

On the 15th stage of the Via Alpina from Adelboden to Lenk, hikers walk from the village center in Lohnerdorf along the Allebach and later the Gilsbach through dense forests to Geils. They then follow the hiking trail that leads through an alpine moor landscape to the Hahnenmoos Pass. From here you can enjoy the view of the Wildstrubel massif and the La Plaine Morte glacier. If you're lucky and the weather cooperates, hikers observe the many passionate pilots who fly their model gliders over the Hahnenmoos every year. Before the descent into the Simmental, the mountain restaurant invites you to a well-deserved rest. Well strengthened, the Via Alpina leads from the pass height along gravel roads, pastures, and countless chalets down into the Lenk village center.
