The route starts at the Wildstrubel hut SAC and briefly ascends to the Wisshorelücke. From there, it goes over the Plaine Morte glacier towards the Wildstrubel. The view over the flat glacier, which runs along the border between the canton of Bern and the canton of Valais, is magnificent. From the Plaine Morte it is about 500 meters ascent to the Lenker local mountain Wildstrubel. The 360° panorama extends, in good weather and clear visibility, from the Jura over the Wildhorn, the Mont Blanc massif, the Valais 4000-meter peaks up to the highest Bernese summits.
