Why do guests pay visitor's tax and what is it used for? Here is a summary of the services that are financed by the visitor's tax. All guests benefit directly and indirectly from these services.

The tourist tax is used to promote tourist facilities and development. Lenk-Simmental Tourism (LST) and the municipality(ies) continuously invest in the tourist offer in order to maintain it at the highest possible standard. In addition to ordinary tax revenue, this offer is also financed by visitor's taxes. The tourist tax is used in accordance with the law in the interests of those paying the tourist tax. In particular, it is used to finance the following three areas:

Information service
Entertainment on site
Construction and operation of facilities for tourism, culture and sport

In its annual report, LST provides detailed information on the use of the funds made available to it.

Where does the visitor's tax money actually go?

Specifically, the income from visitor's taxes in the destination Lenk-Simmental is used for tasks that benefit guests directly and indirectly.
