A comedy in the old style about morality, temptation, and the rewards of virtue in four acts

Professor Dr. Traugott Nägeli leads his family with an iron fist. The teacher of dead languages is a quirky moralist who sometimes goes overboard with morality. Therefore, he was also heavily involved when his sister was chased away at the age of 17 because she was expecting an illegitimate child. Now that the sister has passed away and her son is no longer in this world, his oldest daughter Atlanta is promised a juicy inheritance. In order to claim it, one must travel to Montevideo; there, where the deceased aunt amassed her wealth. However, until all conditions are met to actually claim the inheritance, the professor's decency and moral standards will be put to the test.
