Animal hiking companions of a special kind: the three alpacas at the Alima hut on the Betelberg are your companions on the independent hiking tour to the beautiful reservoir on the Leiterli and back.
Alpine farmers Niklaus and Stephanie run the Alima hut of the Betelberg Alpine Corporation in summer. They also "summer" their 3 alpacas high up on the Betelberg. The animals, which come from the South American Andes, are familiar with the mountain world and are loyal companions. During a 1 ½-hour trek from the alpine hut to the Leiterli reservoir, you will personally guide the alpacas and get to know the animals up close. The offer is particularly suitable for families and is even free of charge for children up to the age of 12. After a short briefing and getting to know the alpacas, the tour begins. To quench your thirst, a mineral drink of your choice is included in the price of the offer. The alpine season on the Betelberg lasts from around mid-June to the beginning of September. During this time, you can book the alpaca trekking by calling Niklaus Kappeler on +41 79 559 39 07.
