Train your muscle strength and technique with friends or family and grow beyond yourself with a portion of courage - try bouldering. Bouldering is the term used to describe rope-free climbing at jump height. The BoulderSchüür offers 270 square meters of wall space where beginners can try it out and experienced boulderers can burn off energy.
In the past, bouldering was used as training for sport climbing, but today there are more and more climbers who only practise bouldering. The bouldering routes in the converted barn can be climbed at any time of year and in any weather. There are various levels of difficulty, on vertical walls and in the overhang. The routes are marked with little cards and can be recognized by the grip colors. The soft mats on the ground catch you when you jump off. As there is no safety device, one person, a so-called spotter, should be able to assess the climber's fall and protect the other people in the hall. Equipment for bouldering includes comfortable clothing, climbing finches and a magnesia bag. The magnesium increases the grip of the hands because it dries the hand perspiration. For a first attempt at bouldering, however, it is also possible without a magnesia bag and climbing finches can be hired from the BoulderSchüür to try it out. All proceeds from the entrance fees go towards the further development of the BoulderSchüür and climbing in the region.
