Set off on a journey of discovery into the world of marmots. This is not a strenuous hike, but an eventful and playful trail for children of all ages. The trail leads from the Leiterli mountain station to the Stoss middle station.
Marmots dig burrows and escape holes. Discover the marmot dwelling with the walk-in marmot construction. Test your dexterity on the wobbly footbridge or find out how many "marmots" you weigh on the marmot scales. The trail leads you along a gently sloping natural road to the idyllic Tuftiseeli, where you will also find a barbecue area. The last few metres to the Seeli can be covered by cable car - simply airy fun. How well do you know animal sounds and tracks? The next stations will help you to improve your knowledge. At the end, the trail leads to the labyrinth with a barbecue area, where you can climb and balance once again. Not everyone is lucky enough to encounter live marmots. Real marmots live above the walk-in marmot burrow. Especially in the early morning, when the Leiterli is not yet so busy, you have the chance to watch the animals at play. Tired children's legs? The Murmeli herbal ointment is carefully made according to a traditional method. This tried-and-tested home remedy warms and relaxes muscles and joints when massaged into the skin. The ointment can be purchased from Lenk Bergbahnen. The big highlight on the Murmeli Trail is the Murmeli construction. The interactive construction is located at the Leiterli reservoir, about a 10-minute walk from the mountain station. The new attraction is a place to play, learn and discover. Topics such as burrow construction, the duration of hibernation, the diet and fat deposits of marmots are presented in a playful way. While the children explore the world of the cute alpine dwellers, parents can linger at the reservoir by the barbecue area.
