Der Bergsee im Naturschutzgebiet Gelten-Iffigen oberhalb der Iffigenalp lädt zum Verweilen, Fischen oder zu einer nassen Abkühlung ein.
Lake Iffig is only accessible on foot. You will reach your destination in less than two hours on foot from the Iffigenalp. The ascent is rewarded with a fantastic view of the deep blue lake, which is beautifully nestled between the rugged rock face on one side and the open arena of mountain meadows on the other. From the Iffigsee it is not far to the Wildhornhütte or the Tungelpass, a crossing to the Saanenland. But for the time being, we enjoy the surroundings at Iffigsee. Water rats venture into the refreshingly cold water - as it should be for a mountain lake. Fishermen can cast their lines. You can fish with a day licence, which is purchased at the Iffigenalp. If you find flat stones, you can try your hand at "shale fishing". The water from Lake Iffig, which flows underground, feeds the Iffigbach stream. You travelled along it on the way to Iffigenalp and also passed the spectacular Iffig Falls. If you didn't pay attention - you have another chance on the return journey.
