Change of the seasons.

The day starts at a quick pace; we immediately start climbing to the highest point of the day, Mt. Tierberg (2,371 m. a.s.l.). It is worth finding your bearings where our first destination is concerned: The view to the east extends over the ski area of Silleren above Adelboden to the mountain range with the distinctive Lohner Massif and Mt. Bunderspitz. Kandersteg is just behind there. Our route now leads through the well-known winter sports area of Adelboden-Lenk...dänk!, passing the lake reservoir Brenggen, to the Bummere Pass and ends up at the foot of Mt. Rägeboldshore. We climb over Alpine meadows and past Vorsasse (huts used as a temporary stop on the way up to the mountain pasture in summer) up to the roaring River Simme and past the Barbara Bridge. Falling asleep to the sound of rushing water helps us to forget our descent of more than 1,400 metres.

Highlights:

  • Spring in the mountains between Mt. Tierberg and Mt. Rägeboldshore
  • The colour of the lake reservoir Brenggen
  • Guided tour of the Alp Seewlen cheese dairy, Tel. 033 733 13 70
  • Spraying Simmen Falls due to melting snow
  • Collect blueberries

Sights:

  • Barbara Bridge
