The tour starts in St. Stephan and initially leads leisurely along the flat cycle path towards Stöckli. The ascent begins past the beautiful church - one of the most pleasant in the region. The route climbs steadily up to the Chemistube restaurant, which invites you to stop for a bite to eat with its hearty cuisine. The sunny terrace offers a wonderful view and is the perfect place for a well-earned break.

After another 170 meters in altitude, the route branches off to the left - and now it's time to descend! A steep gravel road picks up the pace and leads quickly down to the bridge over the Chesselbach. Shortly afterwards, you reach Rüwlisstrasse - the start of a fast, asphalt descent back to St. Stephan.

The entire route is easy to ride and ideal for those who prefer wide paths - narrow single trails are deliberately avoided here.

Note: The tour is not signposted - a map or GPS track is recommended.
