Starting at Lenk, the route leads along the cycle path, off the main road, on asphalt and gravel through the Simmental to Oey. Via Diemtigen, the route continues on asphalt through the Diemtigtal valley to Zwischenflüh, where the real action begins. A narrow road leads up a good 800 m through alpine meadows to the Meieberg. Some sections are very steep, but the scenery is worth every drop of sweat. The last section (Strade Bianche) and a short section of the descent are unpaved. After the descent to Zweisimmen, you return to Lenk via the cycle path.
