The starting point can be reached comfortably with the gondola from Betelberg valley station to Leiterli mountain station. The ascent to Leiterli mountain station can also be done under your own power. The highlight of this route is the ascent to Stübleni at the edge of the spectacular Gryden. The fast descent to Lauenensee is a mix of forest roads and single trails. At Lauenensee, a break is recommended to enjoy the unique landscape. With fresh mountain air in your tank, the ride continues mostly flat or slightly downhill to Gstaad where the route ends.

The route is not signposted for mountain bikes.

  • Approach

    Bern towards Spiez. Before Spiez take the Lattigen exit towards Simmental. At Zweisimmen roundabout, direction Lenk. In Lenk at the roundabout, right towards the Betelberg valley station.

  • There are free parking spaces at the Betelberg valley station.

  • Leiterli mountain station - Stübleni - Stüblenipass - Lauenensee - Höji - Gstaad

  • The route runs over hiking trails. With the Trailknigge, hikers and bikers share the path with respect and tolerance.

  • The route is also suitable as an e-MTB route.
