Strenuous mountain hiking trail with beautiful alpine flora. From the Engstligenalp mountain station, follow the signposts over the Ammertenpass up to the Ammertenspitz. Wonderful view of Adelboden and Engstligenalp. The descent is via the same route.

Approach

From Bern via Thun - Spiez - Frutigen to Adelboden. At the roundabout at the village entrance take the 2nd exit to the left and continue to Unter dem Birg (valley station cable car Engstligenalp).

Trail with continuous track. Terrain partially steep, risk of falling cannot be excluded. If marked according to SWW standards: white-red-white. Some surefootedness. Trekking shoes are recommended. Basic orientation skills.
