Start directly with the ascent through Gutenbrunnen to Bleikenstafel. The view towards Gyrshubel and Spilgerten is enchanting, so the ascent is quickly completed. Continuing towards Spilgerten into the Färmeltal valley, the roads are sometimes asphalted and sometimes gravel. Soon you follow the Färmelbach stream and cross a small bridge to reach the Färmelstrasse. The wild Färmeltal valley with its steep rock faces towering directly above lush green alpine meadows is extremely impressive. On the descent from Färmeltal to Matten, turn right after the viaduct onto a gravel road and climb approx. 200 meters. The view towards the end of the valley is most beautiful from here. The asphalt road takes you rapidly down to St. Stephan and back to Lenk on the cycle path.
