The route starts directly with the ascent through Gutenbrunnen to Bleikenstafel. The view towards Gyrshubel and Spilgerten is enchanting, so the climb is quickly done. Continuing towards Spilgerten into the Färmeltal, the paths are sometimes paved and sometimes gravelled. Soon the Färmelbach is followed, and via a small bridge, the Färmel road is reached. The wild Färmeltal with the steep rock faces, which rise directly above lush green alpine meadows, is extremely impressive. On the descent from Färmeltal to Matten, after the viaduct, turn right onto a gravel road and climb about 200 meters. The view towards the valley end is the most beautiful from here. The asphalt road then rapidly leads down to St. Stephan and from there on the bike path back to Lenk.
