On the road to the Simmenfälle, you have time to warm up and prepare yourself mentally for the upcoming climb. Starting from the Simmenfälle restaurant, a steep forest road with sections up to 28% gradient demands good fitness. On the flat part at Rezlisberg, there's a short time to catch your breath and loosen your legs before the alpine road ascends again. From Chäli to Langermatte, strong legs are required again. At Langermatte, the wonderful view of the Wildstrubel massif and the surrounding mountains compensates. The Tritten family offers a well-deserved refreshment at the alpine hut on Langermatte before heading back down to the valley.

The first section of the descent goes over a rough alpine road, then a trail branches off to the left towards Iffigenalp. This trail is narrow and demands good riding skills. The singletrail along the Iffigbach down to the valley is the trail highlight of the route. Passing the over 100m high Iffigfall, the trail winds downhill over root and stone passages. A mix of small roads and trail sections finally leads to the valley floor.

Avoid the section Iffigenalp - Engiweidli during the high season between 10:00 and 17:00. Many hikers are on the trail at this time of day.

The section Alp Ritz - Iffigenalp has very tight curves in the upper part that are technically challenging to ride. Please stay on the trail and do not switch to the meadow. As an alternate route, you can continue on the wide forest road at Alp Ritz up to Ritzdole and then return to the route.
