A 42-kilometre course with an elevation gain of 2,700 meters takes you on a special alpine adventure between Lenk and Crans-Montana. The start in the middle of Lenk immediately immerses you in the majestic landscape of the Simmental valley - with tranquil alpine meadows and the Simmen Falls, impressive glacial waterfalls that provide a real nature experience right from the start. On the first few kilometers, you will experience a lot of regional cultural heritage, for example at alpine pastures such as Langermatte, where local products are made, and at Iffigenalp, the first refreshment point.

The ascent up to the ridges leads you to the beautiful mountain lake Iffigensee (2,076 m) and on to the Wildhornhütte (2,303 m) at the foot of the glacier, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Séracs and high mountains. The Wildhornhütte also offers liquid refreshments. The crossing of the Schnidejoch (2,756 m) - a millennia-old passage and archaeologically significant site - offers views of the characteristic glaciers Wildhorn Glacier, Tungel Glacier and Chilchli Glacier.

The descent into Valais leads to the picturesque Lac de Téné and the majestic Lac de Tseuzier, where the last refreshment point is located - also the only place where care is permitted. The route then continues along the Bisse du Ro, a spectacular high-altitude trail above the Rhone Valley, to the finish in Crans-Montana. The variety of landscapes - glaciers, lakes, ridges, alpine meadows and places steeped in history - makes this alpine marathon an experience you won't soon forget.
