The route starts in Adelboden and first climbs the famous Chuenisbärgli before joining the scenic high-altitude trails of the Via Alpina. Crossing the well-kept alpine meadows of the Bernese Oberland, the course heads towards Lenk before the long and demanding ascent to the Wildstrubel Hut begins. At around 2,800 metres above sea level, the route reaches its highest point in a spectacular high-alpine environment. The trail then continues over the Rawil Pass and descends towards Crans-Montana in the Valais region.
Along the way, runnable panoramic trails alternate with technical sections, alpine mountain paths, and steep climbs and descents. Particularly impressive are the views of the Wildstrubel region, the Bernese Alps, and the mountains of Valais. The course offers ideal conditions for preparing specifically for alpine trail running races and for getting familiar with sections of the route before race day.
