Alp Festival Lenk: Tradition, Miss Lenk and regional specialties
The Alp Festival in Lenk is all about lived tradition, regional products, and authentic Simmental culture. Lovingly adorned cows parade through the village during the traditional "Zügleten," proudly wearing bells, chimes, and floral decorations. At the center of it all is the election of Miss Lenk. Visitors can cast their votes to crown the most beautiful Lenk cow on four legs.
At the Buremärit, guests are greeted with a wide selection of authentic Lenk products, regional specialties, and handicrafts. Many items can be directly tasted and purchased. Music, festival catering, and a varied supporting program create a cheerful atmosphere, making the Alp Festival a special experience for young and old alike.
Even in the evening, tradition continues. The rustic Alp Evening focuses on music, dance, and cozy gatherings. To conclude the festival weekend, the Alp breakfast invites everyone to enjoy a hearty meal featuring local products.
The Alp Festival Lenk combines customs, agriculture, culinary delights, and entertainment, and for many guests and locals, it is one of the highlights of autumn.
